L5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology
Coopers Hill Academy is delighted to be a Founder Partner Centre with the Integrated Reflexology Consortium (IRC). As a collaboration of highly experienced reflexologists and tutors we have thoroughly revised and updated the content for the L5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology to ensure the course is comprehensive and relevant for today’s professional clinical reflexologist.
The units covered on this high level of training are:
- Reflexology skills in practice: This practical reflexology course offers ‘hands-on’ reflexology practice in every lesson as well as clinical skills such as communication, ethics and professionalism.
- Providing reflexology for specific conditions: Covering reflexology and support for the different stages of life such as cancer, palliative care, chronic illness, fertility, maternity and menopause. Brand new for 2023, Adaptive Integrated Reflexology (AIR)© only taught on the Agored level 5 Diploma.
- Incremental Development of Applied Reflexology Skills in Practice: Applying practical and theory knowledge to tailor an individual treatment plan to all clients and develop a deeper understanding of the treatment.
- Business Skills for Reflexology Practice: Business studies specific to reflexology and the health and wellbeing industry to help you on your way to your new life as a reflexologist.
- Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology for Reflexology: Understanding the science of why and how people get ill. AP&P is integrated and applied throughout your training and linked to reflexology practice with examples and exercises of real situations with real clients.

Entry Requirements
- Learners must be 18 or over.
- There is no ‘academic’ requirement or previous reflexology experience needed.
- Some of the coursework is submitted by e-mail, you will need to be able to use a word processing program and know how to attach files.
- An adequate level of spoken and written English is a necessity, applicants will attend an interview prior to enrolment.
- An ability to perform practical reflexology treatments.
- 100% attendance is required, please check the course dates to ensure you will be available to attend each one.
- This is a high level of training and commitment to home learning and case studies is needed, 6-8 hours per week for self-study.
Coopers Hill Academy would like to ensure all students can benefit from an interactive teaching experience with the tutor able to devote more time to individuals and providing better support.
Class sizes are kept small and places will therefore be limited, it is advised to book early.

Course fee payment options – January 2025
A booking deposit of £400 is required up front (refundable only if the course is cancelled by Coopers Hill Academy). The remainder of the balance is required at the first lesson or with the following payment options.
All teaching materials and assessment fees are included in the course costs for the level 5 programme.

Additional costs –
You will be required to join the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) as a student member. This will give you access to a wealth of reflexology information and resources, local area support groups, professional magazine subscription, and of course free student insurance for 18 months which you will need for your case studies. www.aor.org.uk.

Agored Cymru is the awarding organisation. Agored Cymru fees – £276.50 (Correct as of August 2024)
The Integrated Reflexology Consortium (IRC) link the Awarding Organisation in Wales and the Reflexology training centres. The IRC ensure standardisation and quality control of the L5 Diploma in Practitioners Reflexology. IRC Administration Fees – £50 (Correct as of August 2024)
Additional cost Total – £362.50
*Additional costs will be paid to your tutor in lesson one who will directly pay the organisations on your behalf.
You will also need the following:
- A professional uniform will be required by lesson 6, this will consist of black comfortable trousers and a CHA logo polo shirt
- Consumables such as towels, pillows, creams etc.
- Treatment couch or Lafuma chair and a therapist stool (optional, discussed in lesson one)
- Text books if required (these are often available second hand on Amazon, CHA also provides a small library for you to borrow books)
A Late completion fee will be charged if work is submitted 18months after the start date of the training course.

Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology

You will be pleased to know this level 5 course is assessment based, this means there are no written exams! Learners are required to complete a comprehensive home study programme (approximately 15 hours per week of self-study and case study work) and observed clinical assessments within class, enabling most learners to continue working whilst training for their new career.
